What we are Looking For

Football is entering a now or never moment on its future. The incoming Independent Regulator and Football Bill represents a golden chance to change the game we love for the better. It is now in the hands of politicians. We are looking for a individual with a passion for football and a deep understanding of how politics works. This role will play an essential part in shaping the direction of that debate in parliament and building vital connections with the decision makers that matter.

If this describes you, then you could well be involved in helping to play an amazing part in saving the future of football. This is an exciting role that will be high profile and give you a chance to help shape the future of football.

Main Responsibilities

As Fair Game’s Head of advocacy, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading, inspiring and growing Fair Game’s advocacy team

  • Identifying, developing and building relationships with key politicians

  • Commissioning and writing briefings for politicians

  • Attending weekly 30-minute meetings with Fair Game’s CEO

What you will need to bring:

  • Understanding of how the UK Parliamentary and Governmental system works

  • Experience of working in a parliamentary context

  • Good writing skills (drafting briefings etc.)

  • Good networking skills

  • Good telephone manner

  • A commitment to Fair Game’s values

  • A passion to change football for the better

  • Connections within political parties
