Volunteer role: Volunteer Communications Planner

Team: Club Engagement

Reports to: Chief Communications Officer

Hours: 5-10 hrs a week

What we are Looking For

We are looking for an experienced comms planner who can help us plan our content and amplify our messages at key moments. The individual will love working with people, an eye for spotting opportunities, and have a passion for organising, planning and creating real impact.

If this describes you, then you could well be involved in helping to play an amazing part in saving the future of football. This is an exciting role that will be high profile and give you a chance to help shape the future of football.

Main Responsibilities

As Fair Game’s Communications Planner, you will:

  • Have your finger on the pulse of the football calendar - both on and off the pitch

  • Be responsible for the design, production and maintenance of an internal comms plan

  • Liaise regularly with key teams notably advocacy, research and media

  • Attend fortnightly management meetings

  • Identify pinchpoints and make recommendations

What you will Need to Bring

  • Experience in comms planning

  • Understanding of how to deliver effective campaigns

  • Attention to detail and good organisation skills 

  • Great interpersonal skills

  • You will likely be a keen football fan

  • A commitment to Fair Game’s values
