The Conference, which is being held at AFC Wimbledon on 28 and 29 May, will bring together the nation’s leading minds, focus on the key problems facing the incoming Football Independent Regulator - and crucially look to develop solutions.

Maguire is amongst a number of newly confirmed speakers and panellists that will bring their expertise to the event.

Kicking off day two is former Premier League referee Janie Frampton – with a light-hearted start to proceedings.

The opening panel will feature the heavyweight topic facing English football: The Independent Regulator – What does it mean for football?

Former FA Chairman and Manchester City chairman David Bernstein CBE and Ben Thomas, from legal experts Bates Wells, will join Fair Game CEO Niall Couper on the panel.

Equality in football will feature in the second panel with Yvonne Harrison, CEO of Women in Football; Owain Davies, chief executive of Level Playing Field; British Future director Sunder Katwala and former professional footballer Paul Hall of Show Racism the Red Card amongst the panellists.

The spectre of a European Super League, which refuses to go away, will be part of a discussion around the push for reform in European football. Dennis Gudasic, the General Secretary of the Union of European Clubs, joins the chair of the Chelsea Supporters Trust Mark Meeham on the panel.

Day two will also feature the former head of women’s football at the FA Kelly Simmons, one of the most influential figures in women’s sport, exploring the future of the women’s game, grassroots development and how football leadership must evolve.

The opening day of the conference is more industry focused with a series of seminars which will provide a deep dive into the major structural and financial challenges in football today.

The industry-focused seminars, which will cover five streams – fans, clubs, finance, governance, and equality and ethics – all of which align with the requirements of the Regulator.
