Fair Game stand shoulder to shoulder with HerGame Too
FAIR GAME is delighted to announce a new partnership with HerGame Too, an organisation seeking to raise awareness and tackle sexist abuse in football.
Set up by 12 passionate female football fans looking to highlight sexist issues within the game, Her Game Too went viral with a video listing the type of abhorrent comments received for their love of football.
Niall Couper, Director of Fair Game, a coalition of football clubs seeking to change how football is run in England and Wales, said: “I have nothing but respect for Her Game Too. It takes real bravery to stand up to abuse. And let’s be clear some of the abuse female football fans have suffered both in person and over social media is nothing short of toxic. It has no place in football.
“On behalf of Fair Game, I pledge to call it out wherever I see it or hear it and I hope others will do the same.
“Standing against discrimination is a core part of Fair Game’s ethos and we are delighted to partner with Her Game Too and are pleased to announce that their co-founders Caz May and Eve Ralph have agreed to become advisors for us in our pursuit to create a better game.”
Caz May, founder of Her Game Too, added: “We are delighted to be working alongside Fair Game. We believe we both have reciprocated values which means we can collaborate efficiently to build a better future for football.”
