What was your football highlight of 2024?
Altrincham FC making the National League play-offs and securing our best League finish since 1995

Either on the pitch, or behind the scenes working in football, who is your person of 2024 and why?
I give a shout out to all the volunteers involved in football.  They are indispensable for clubs lower down the pyramid, who would  simply not exist without their volunteers

Who in football would you like to give a Christmas present to and what would you gift them?
The Farsley Celtic captain, Lewis Turner who had a cardiac arrest on the pitch at Gateshead in their recent FA Trophy game.  I am hoping Santa can bring him a full recovery

Who in the world of football should be on Santa’s naughty list and why?
A22, the organisation trying to re-establish the European Super League.  We just don't want it!

If you could make one change to football in 2025, to improve the way the game is played or governed, what would that change be and why?
Three up three down between the EFL and the National League

Off the field, what are going to be football’s main talking points in 2025?
The ongoing FFP investigations into Manchester City

Thomas Tuchel was recently appointed England’s men’s team manager, can he deliver the World Cup success the English fans so desperately crave?
Tuchel has the right experience, is of the right calibre and is used to dealing with players of the standard of the England squad.  But the England job is a tough one - made more so by our history and our recent track record
